Position Summary:

An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join R&D at Croda Inc. The Research Chemist – Geotech will be responsible for working closely with the regional sales and marketing teams, global geotech technical team and industrial applications research groups to develop new products and customer specific solutions to problems. The individual will be expected to operate a safe and effective formulation/application laboratory complying with all of Croda’s Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures, stay on top of industry trends in water soluble polymers for emulsion polymerization and water treatment chemicals, develop and manage projects supporting identified technology platforms and the 3 year business strategy, perform laboratory and claim substantiation work, meet with customers, attend conferences, and present to industry, attend business team and department meetings to ensure and maintain alignment with business objectives and to move projects to completion. All other duties as assigned by management.

 

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

The qualified candidate must posses a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or related technical field.  5+ years experience with hands-on emulsion polymerization experience, water treatment chemicals background preferred. Strong presentation and technical writing skills with proficiency in MS office suite required.  Willingness and ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 10% of the time.
