Position Summary:

An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join R&D at Croda Inc. The Research Chemist – Synthesis will be responsible for working on synthesis projects for the Personal Care market.  Daily activities will include setting up and monitoring reactions in either glassware or small steel pressure vessels.  The Chemist is expected to run and understand a number of test assays to validate the work, write product manufacture procedures and will supervise pilot scale up batches at our Mill Hall, PA plant a few times per year. Must follow all Synthesis laboratory procedures and Croda Inc. safety guidelines. All other duties as assignment by management.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

The qualified candidate must possess a BA, BS, or MS degree in Chemistry.  0 – 5 years experience in organic synthesis. Strong written communication skills; effective oral communication skills, computer literacy with MS Office proficiency.
