Dark circles under the eyes are not necessarily due to lack of sleep, but rather to the thin, vascular area of skin that is susceptible to discoloration.  HALOXYL™ is a new ingredient from Sederma® designed to lessen the appearance of these dark circles.

The active ingredients in HALOXYL™ target the underlying cause of dark circles ─ pigmented by-products that invade the fragile eye area and discolor the skin.

Clinical Study:

  • Nearly two-thirds of the volunteers showed an improvement with HALOXYL™ ─ discoloration was reduced on average by 19%...and as much as 45%

In vitro studies show that HALOXYL™ helps...

  • Enhance the efficacy of the natural elimination process of pigmented by-products by:

       * Complexing with iron to neutralize it and make it soluble for elimination.

       * Stimulating the expression of the enzyme involved in the natural elimination of the
          pigmented by-products.
     
  • Alleviate inflammation which can lead to vessel fragility

       * Reduces UV induced PGE2 levels in Keratinocytes by 86% and Fibroblasts by 92%!
