Crodazosoft DBQ and Crodamol STS

Enhanced Conditioning Activity
 
Both Crodazosoft DBQ and Crodamol STS are known for providing excellent properties desired by formulators.  A few key features of each are listed below:

  • High refractive index = Enhanced gloss and shine

  • Eliminates whitening/soaping

  • No drying effect on skin

Now we have tested these two multifunctional ingredients together in a rinse-off conditioning system and to observe the effect created by both ingredients together.  The improvement to hair was striking.
 

As seen in the graph on the right, bleached hair treated with the conditioner containing Crodazosoft DBQ and Crodamol STS was 2X stronger than the control and 25% stronger than the hair treated with Crodazosoft DBQ conditioner formulation alone.  Hair strength was measured by the flexabrasion method, which tests overall hair's strength rather than tensile strength alone.

In the graph on the left, the shine index of hair was measured.  As seen by the results, the shine of hair was measurably improved through the addition of Crodamol STS to the Crodazosoft DBQ conditioning cream.  The combination cream improved the shine of the hair over 16.5% versus the control whereas the cream with only Crodazosoft DBQ improved the shine by 5.9%.

The combination of Crodazosoft DBQ and Crodamol STS in hair care treatment products is very advantageous for formulators.  The enhanced effect of the combination was shown to provide the following benefits:
  • Improvement in hair strength
  • Measurable increase in hair's shine

And, additionally, further studies were conducted demonstrating these attributes:

  • Increase in the hydrophobicity of the hair's surface
  • Improvement in wet combing
