Incroquat 18-MEA 40

Lipid Replenishing Conditioner

Croda, the industry leader in the development of quaternized compounds, has added a new quat to our extensive line of innovative quaternary technologies.  Incroquat 18-MEA 40 is a quaternized derivative of 18-Methyl Eicosanoic Acid, or 18-MEA, the primary lipid found on the surface of healthy hair.  When hair becomes damaged, this lipid is often lost resulting in dry, brittle hair.  Incroquat 18-MEA 40 replaces this lipid making hair, once again, soft and manageable.

Incroquat 18-MEA 40 also provides:

  • Effective deposition on hair

  • Excellent detangling

  • An improvement in wet & dry combing

In addition, it has these features:

  • 40% cationic actives
  • Surfactant soluble and water dispersible
  • Suitable in cold process and clear systems
  • And comes in an easy to use liquid form

Incroquat 18-MEA 40 is effectively deposited on the surface of the hair  as shown by the fluorescence micrographs below.
