CRODAMAZON
CUPUAÇÚ is a triglyceride butter extracted from the seeds of Theobroma
grandiflorum (INCI Name: Theobroma Grandiflorum Seed Butter), a tropical plant
that grows wild in riverbank regions of the Amazon. CRODAMAZON CUPUAÇÚ
acts as an emollient to confer softness and a conditioned feel on the skin. and
confers. CRODAMAZON CUPUAÇÚ has a high capacity for water absorption and
offers proven skin moisturization benefits that help restore the
skin’s natural humidity and elasticity. |

The high water
absorption of CRODAMAZON CUPUAÇÚ is superior, even to Lanolin. Clinical studies were conducted to evaluate the product’s
moisturizing properties using a prototype cream containing 5% CRODAMAZON
CUPUAÇÚ and a placebo applied to treat the legs of a panel of 20 volunteers.
Moisture at the skin surface was measured with a corneometer before treatment
and at scheduled intervals after treatment, as seen here in the graph. |

Similar
clinical studies were conducted to evaluate the effects of CRODAMAZON
Cupuaçú
on transepidermal water loss (TEWL). The results show that CRODAMAZON
Cupuaçú
is able to decrease the amount of TEWL by up to 26% and keep skin hydrated
for 360 minutes.
